Lark Brooks 雀溪

Terms

Plain version: the extensions are free, nothing is locked behind a payment, and if you send money anyway you can get it back within 14 days.

What this is

Lark Brooks (雀溪) is one person making small browser extensions. Everything published here is free to install and use. There is no paid tier, no subscription, no licence key, and no feature that requires payment.

The tools are provided as they are. I test them and fix what breaks, but I can't promise they will work forever — browsers change, and YouTube changes more often than most. If one stops working, uninstalling it costs you nothing.

Voluntary support

The support page exists for people who want to say thanks. It is entirely voluntary.

Paying unlocks nothing. No feature, no priority, no early access. The extensions behave identically whether you give or not, and I do not record who does. There is no file to download and nothing is shipped to you.

Who you are paying

Card and WeChat payments on the support page are processed by Waffo Pancake (Waffo.com Limited), acting as Merchant of Record. That means Waffo is the seller of record for the transaction, handles tax where applicable, and appears on your receipt and card statement. I receive a settled amount afterwards.

Chinese payment QR codes on that page go directly to my personal WeChat and Alipay accounts, with no platform in between.

Refunds

Refunds are available within 14 days, no reason needed. Two ways to ask:

Paid by mistake, or meant to send a different amount? Say so and I'll refund it — the 14 days is a formality, not a hurdle. Refunds go back to the original payment method.

Payments made through WeChat or Alipay QR codes are person-to-person transfers and can't be reversed by the platform. Write to me and I'll send it back manually.

Using the extensions

Install them, use them for anything lawful, tell other people about them. The code is JavaScript and you can read every line of it — that's deliberate. Reading it, learning from it, and telling me what's wrong with it are all welcome.

What I'd ask you not to do:

Term and termination

These terms apply for as long as you use the extensions. You can end them at any moment by uninstalling — nothing else is required, and neither side owes the other anything afterwards.

On my side: I may stop publishing an extension, stop maintaining an old version, or withdraw one from a store. A withdrawn extension keeps working in browsers that already have it until a browser update breaks it — I can't reach into your browser and remove anything.

If you use the tools in the ways listed just above, I may decline to help you, refund and refuse further payments from you, and report the behaviour to the Chrome Web Store or to the payment provider. There are no accounts here, so there is nothing for me to disable.

None of this limits rights you have under the consumer-protection law where you live.

Privacy

The extensions collect nothing — see the privacy policy. This website has no analytics, no cookies and no trackers. If you pay, Waffo processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; I only ever see that a payment arrived.

Trademarks and attribution

YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. These extensions are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube. "for YouTube" describes what the tool works with, nothing more.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version appears on this page. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer-protection law of the country you live in.
