Privacy

This site has no analytics, no cookies and no trackers. The part worth reading is what happens if you send money — because then I can see something, and you should know what.

This website

No analytics script, no cookies, no fingerprinting, no advertising. Nothing is set in your browser and no profile of you is built.

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page, user agent) as part of operating any website. I don't query them for anything and nothing is linked to a person.

The extensions

They collect nothing at all — no accounts, no analytics, no network requests of their own. Your settings live in your own browser. Full detail in the Hold to Speed privacy policy, which is the version filed with the Chrome Web Store.

If you buy me a coffee

Card and WeChat payments are handled by Waffo Pancake (Waffo.com Limited) as Merchant of Record. Your card details go to them, never to me — I have no way to see a card number.

What I do see in their dashboard, for each order: your email address, the name you entered, and your country. I use it for one thing only — answering you if something goes wrong with the payment. No mailing list, no newsletter, nothing is exported anywhere. Waffo processes this under its own privacy policy and I have no control over what it keeps.

WeChat and Alipay QR codes are person-to-person transfers straight to my own accounts. I see whatever those apps show the recipient: your display name (partly masked) and any note you attach. Nothing else, and nothing is stored outside the app.

If you write to me

Mail sent to hello@larkbrooks.dev sits in a Google Workspace mailbox. I keep correspondence so I can follow up on bug reports, and delete it when it's no longer useful. Ask me to delete your thread and I will.

What never happens

Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Since the answer is usually "an email thread and an order record", this is quick: write to hello@larkbrooks.dev and I'll handle it myself. For data held by Waffo, contact them directly, or ask me and I'll pass it on.
